Prayer

"Thy will be done."

A stewardship parish strives to nourish the soul through prayer. Prayer and the sacraments dispose a soul to receive God's abundant graces, which are necessary to grow in holiness. There is a deep connection between the Eucharistic celebration, thanksgiving and stewardship ways to thank God.

Charismatic Prayer - This prayer group meets on Monday evenings at 7:30 in the Chapel.

Cursillo - From a Spanish word meaning "short course." Cursillo seeks to deepen the spiritual life by stressing the basics of the Catholic Faith. Strong emphasis on community, mutual support, and shared prayer are unique attributes of this dynamic spiritual movement. If you are interested, contact the Cursillo Center 602.840.5066.

Eucharistic Adoration - Adoration is held in the Chapel every Tuesday, beginning at 7:30AM and ending with Novena and Benediction at 7:00 PM.

Legion of Mary - This group, dedicated to the honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, meets regularly for shared prayer, study and works of mercy.

Ministry of Art and Environment - Members of our community blend their talents and efforts to bring the symbols of the liturgical seasons to life. Help is most needed the week before Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter.

Ministers of Care - These men and women visit the sick, elderly and homebound in local nursing homes and private homes to bring Holy Communion.

Ministers of Eucharist - These confirmed ministers assist in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. Some share Eucharist as they celebrate with the sick and homebound. Training leading to certification is required and provided.

Ministry of Hospitality - This ministry is owned by all baptized Christians. They strive to make each person feel welcomed. They assist in greeting, seating, offering general and facility information and taking up the collection at all weekend Masses.

Ministry of Music - Music serves the community by helping us to express the gift of faith within us, and to lead the community toward full active participation as we worship together. Parishioners who are gifted vocalists and instrumentalists are welcome to become a minister of music.

Ministry of the Word - Lectors tell our story by proclaiming Scripture.  Through their proclaiming, they make Christ present to us in the Word.  Training leading to certification is required and provided.

Novena - The Novena of Miraculous Medal is held each Tuesday evening at 7:00 in the church.

Prayer Line - These members continue to pray for the numerous prayer requests that are received daily.

Small Christian Communities - Through prayer, learning, sharing, mission and mutual support, these small communities can be the leaven to the broader church. They are also a means of being church that brings the Gospel to everyday life whether at home or in the workplace.
