Men in Ministry

As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.  —Proverbs 27:17

...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. —Joshua 24:15

“The Man of Integrity walks securely…” Proverbs 10:9

Our Mission

The mission of the Men in Ministry is to bring men of all ages, at all stages of their spiritual journey, together to strengthen their lives in the light of their Catholic faith, and  to build men up in Christ through hospitality, prayer, formation and service activities.  This group will work together to create events, outreach activities and prayer opportunities designed to bring men together and to open up conversations that allow Jesus Christ to be at the center of their lives.

This ministry will cultivate friendships among our fellow parishioners - to have fun, and learn from one another; to learn and practice how to be better husbands, fathers, sons, employees, Christian men, and Catholic parishioners. It is hoped that many men will say they have grown by this experience, which has helped them to form stronger and happier families and to cope better with the stresses they encounter at work. Participation in this ministry may be a way of filling a void in one's life that all of one's secular accomplishments do not seem to fill.

It was Tom Brady, who, after 3 Super Bowl rings, dating a super model and having made millions of dollars said, “There must be something more.” It was St. Augustine at the beginning of “Confessions” who said, “You have made us for yourself Oh Lord and our hearts are restless, until they rest in You.

Typically, this group meets the 3rd Saturday of each month, to attend 8am Mass together and then meet in the Social Hall after Mass.  If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Dr. Honora Norton, at the parish office and she will connect you with the ministry's leadership team.
