EDGE

The EDGE program is an innovative and stimulating process of faith-sharing for our seventh and eighth graders who meet in a weekly format.  Class sessions, retreats, outreach-service and social components are an all-round holistic experience. EDGE is designed to promote Catholic education and fellowship.  Besides teaching Catholic catechism in an age-appropriate method, the EDGE program promotes positive morality and fellowship among other young Catholics in our parish and community.

Announcements:

  • Meet our Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry - Robyn Johnson, who expresses a special "thank you" to core members of all programs - your gifts of time and talent is appreciated.
  • Classes: Watch parish bulletins for " Called to Protect" and "Catechist Certification" classes.

Check Sunday worship aid for updates.

Goals of the EDGE

  • To foster a transforming spiritual experience of Jesus through the liturgy, which will allow early adolescents to experience the Word of God and the Eucharist in a deeper more profound way.
  • To create a positive experience of the Catholic Church for early adolescents.
  • To assist Middle School youngsters in gaining an understanding and appreciation of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes.
  • To incorporate the Catholic Church's vision of social justice and peace into the spiritual life of pre-adolescents.
  • To develop an identity in middle school youth and in the Edge ministry as being a vital and visual presence within the parish community.
