A regional Catholic K–8 school. The feeder parishes into the school include Our Lady of Joy, St. Bernadette’s, Blessed Sacrament and St. Joan of Arc. Each parish is allotted one-quarter of the available openings per grade. Admission requirements and registration information may be obtained by contacting the school at 480-905-0939. For in-parish tuition subsidy, you must be an actively involved, registered family at your parish.

Celebrating a Decade of Faith

The school was named in honor of Pope John XXIII. He served as the pastoral head of the Catholic Church from 1958 until his death in 1963. Remembered as a warm and informal pope, he was called “Il Papa Buono,” the Good Pope.  Pope John XXIII was beatified on September 3, 2000.  Scholars rank the Good Pope as one of the most outstanding popes in the first 2000 years of the Catholic Church.

The Diocesan plan to build Pope John XXIII Catholic School Community was officially announced on May 21, 1998, with a scheduled opening for the 1999-2000 school year. The official groundbreaking was on November 28, 1998.  Pope John XXIII Catholic School Community celebrated opening day on August 24, 1999, gathering together as a community to celebrate liturgy and give thanks to God.
