Adopt-a-Senior
This City of Scottsdale program provides care packages and visitations to over 200 Scottsdale seniors every year. By adopting a senior, you can help them, by shopping for their basic needs and giving the gifts of joy, peace and love. See website or contact Via Linda Senior Center at 480-313-8455.
Arizona Community Action Association People's Information Guide
The People’s Information Guide contains information on a variety of low-cost and free services
and programs available to low-income families and individuals. Some
services listed in the guide have eligibility requirements, and some do
not. The Guide is intended to assist families and individuals in obtaining
resources needed to prevent a crisis and move toward self-sufficiency.
Information contained in the Guide is arranged by category areas, and
each entry contains a program description, eligibility information,
instructions on how to apply, documents to bring, and contact

Family Promise of Greater Phoenix
This organization provides emergency shelter services to homeless families that demonstrate a desire to become self-sufficient. Only families with children, and are dedicated to keeping the family together are accepted. There is zero tolerance for substance abuse or violence and accept into our program only parents able to work in the U.S. The Center in Scottsdale provides a safe place for children to play and nap during the day while families receive essential services such as case management, counseling, training and assistance with job and housing resources. Showers, laundry facilities, phone, fax, computers and locker storage units for family belongings are provided. Faith communities of all denominations provide three meals a day, a safe and private sleeping space, and volunteers who create a compassionate "home away from home" atmosphere. Foundation for Senior Living In-Home Services
FSL provides personalized care and assistance allowing you to remain independently in your home: nursing and therapy visits, personal care assistance, companionship and respite, housekeeping and chores, social services and house safety modifications. See website or call 602-285-1800.
Food Stamps
To get Food stamps you must fill out Food Stamp application and complete interview. Applications are available through local Food Stamp Office, in person or by mail or download from website. Military Family Support:

- Military OneSource: provides real help, anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Services are private and provided by the Department of Defense at no cost. deployment resources for children and teenagers, relocating to a new community, looking for quality childcare, spouse employment, stress relief, help with home repairs or have special needs issue. St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international non-profit organization dedicated to serving the
poor and providing others with the opportunity to serve. The Phoenix
Diocesan Council has been assisting central and northern Arizona
families since 1946. Programs include services for the homeless, medical
and dental care for the working poor, charity dining rooms, thrift
stores, a transitional housing shelter and general assistance for
individuals in need. The Community of the Blessed Sacrament St. Vincent

Youth and Family Services
City of Scottsdale offers a range of programs and services for Scottsdale children, teens and family members; juvinile diversion program, teem employment program, outreach services, early childhood resources, City's mayor's youth council and youth workshops that address job skills, money management, life skills and study skills.
